Dear Nabnasset & Abbot Students and Families,
As I have said to many, my transfer to the Robinson and Crisafulli Schools is certainly bittersweet. As with almost all change, this transfer brings about many mixed emotions. On the one hand, I am excited about the continued growth and development that awaits me as I embark on this next journey, but, in turn, I will miss working closely with the exceptional students and families of the Nabnasset and Abbot Schools.
I am honored to have served as the Assistant Principal these past two years. I have been fortunate to be a part of some amazing growth, achievements, and successes at both schools, and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to work alongside many wonderful educators and with many amazing students to enhance the teaching and learning that takes place within these two schools each day.
In addition, I am proud of and grateful for the relationships that I have cultivated and developed with the students, staff, and families of these wonderful learning communities. It is sad to have to say goodbye to the many wonderful people who mean so much to me. I will miss seeing the children coming into school or walking through the halls with big, bright smiles on their faces as they experience learning and interact with their friends. I will miss the many high-fives and book recommendations from, as well as the special and meaningful conversations with, the children at these two schools.
On a personal note, I want to thank you for not only being so welcoming to and supportive of me, but also to my family. I have been blown away by the support you have all shown my family and me. I have been the beneficiary of countless acts of kindness from students and families. And the fact that the Nab-Abbot Team was the recipient of the “Biggest Team Award” at the Superhero/Rock'n'Roll 5K last September really says it all. You are all amazing. Thank you!
I am not going far, so this is not a “goodbye.” I will visit, and will continue to check in with all of my Nab-Abbot friends! Please know that the Nabnasset and Abbot Schools will always hold a very special place in my heart. I wish only the best for the wonderful students and amazing families of these special learning communities!
